Taking part in the London marathon for me usually involves supporting others from the side of the road or watching it on TV. But, in 2024, I’ll be on the other side of the barrier to run for an incredibly worthy cause. 

I’ll be putting in the miles and hours of training in the run up to April 21st 2024, whilst raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young. I couldn’t be prouder and more determined to run for them as I’ll be running in the memory of Rachel Jones- the fiancée of my brother. Rachel sadly passed away at the age of 29 from an undiagnosed heart condition in 2019. Rachel was a truly unbelievable person and lived life to the full. She travelled the world with my brother and documented her experiences through her much loved travel blog, hippie in heels.

By running for CRY I hope to raise as much awareness and money as possible. In the Uk every week at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. Your donation will go towards helping prevent young sudden cardiac deaths through driving awareness, increasing the availability of heart screening for the young, research grants, and support for families who have been impacted by the sudden loss of love ones.

I promise, I’ll put the miles in if you can put the pounds in to support this great charity. Any donation big or small will make a massive impact and help save young lives.
