My swimming club Stratford Sharks is supporting The Shakespeare Hospice in "The Big 10 Swim" fund raising event on 4th July at Stratford Leisure Centre. The Big 10 Swim is a 10,000m relay with teams of 10 swimmers. It is the Shakespeare hospices 10th Anniversary and  the swim is one of many events being promoted this year. It's not meant to be a race, more of a challenge with the idea of involving as many people from the local community as possible, not just serious swimmers. My team is made up of the performance and feeder squad so we would love to give the coaches a good thrashing. More importantly we would really like to beat their sponsorship total. The reason that raising money for hospices is so special to me is that my grandma died in a hospice 4 years ago and it made a real difference to her last weeks of life and was a lovely place to visit. Please sponsor us
