Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for 27/27 and choosing to support Mind. This March I will be running 27 miles in 27 days in solidarity of the 27% of students who report a mental health problem whilst at university.
More students are experiencing mental health problems than ever before. The number of students reporting a mental health problem is five times greater today than it was ten years ago, while the number of students dropping out because of mental health problems has trebled.
Being a student myself currently, I have both witnessed and been affected by the Pandemic that has really tested our mental health. For me, my anxiety has been building up since last year and has had an affect on others around me and my studies. While I have been in therapy, I feel there is more that can be done to combat this, and I feel this will both help myself and others suffering. I also recognise that students are not the only ones suffering through this and I pray things will get better for everyone once this crazy time is over. I am always here to listen to what you're going through and will support anyone else who's having a tough time.
Every student taking part in the 27 27 challenge is sending a clear message: its time to take our mental health seriously, and we wont give up until everyone with a mental health problem gets support and respect.
