Football charity match- Frozen FC v Dinosaur United · 25 June 2022

As the UK’s only charity dedicated to helping people affected by Rb, we provide support and information to families and individuals, fund research into the prevention and treatment of retinoblastoma, raise awareness among health professionals and the public and influence policy to improve services.

Story

This is the third installment of the Dinosaur United v  Frozen FC series, teams affectionately named by Darcy who is being supported by CHECT and the inspiration behind the charity matches. Originally this was a small kick about with any money left over going to a charity, CHECT being the chosen charity.

Its 1-1 in the series, so this will be the decider!

Darcys Update.

Since Christmas Darceys journey has been a roller coaster to say the least. She had quiet a big relapse and needed a different type of chemo where she had it administered as she was under general through her artery. Her body found it too hard so she didn't finish the full course, but so far she has stayed in remission. Since feb 2021 she has had 3 weekly checks under general at the Royal London and for the first time ever she has had 2 clear checks whilst not having treatment which is amazing.

Shes such a character, tells her GOSH nurses and Dr's how to do their jobs and always keeps us on her toes with her sass!

Hopefully remission continues and she can carry on living a normal (ish) childhood ❤
