Story

Every day of your life matters from the first to the last so you have to make the most of it. It is so important to give back to the community as much as possible where ever you can. At the start of my final year of university, I decided very early on that I wanted to do more and step up.

Fundraising was and still is something very new to me but hiking wasn't. I have seen loads of friends accomplish feats for some amazing causes so I thought I would give it ago.

Once I heard about the challenge and that it would be raising money for Marie Curie, I could not stop thinking about it so I spent hours researching and reading people's stories and it cemented in me the amazing work of the charity. Marie Curie believes that everyone living with a terminal illness should be able to get the most from the time they have left, however hard that may sometimes feel.

They are there for you and your family when you may feel like no one else is, to help you cope when you don't know how. Marie Curie Nurses care for you in your home, when you need them most, day or night and they give families a chance to rest knowing that someone is there and with their loved ones. They'll be by your side with care and support every step of the way, bringing light in the darkest hours.
