Over the summer I’ve been training for Exeter’s Great West Run, taking place on October 13th. I’m running it in aid of YMCA Exeter, a Christian charity that does great work for the homeless and vulnerable young people. They run supported accommodation for people who would otherwise be on the streets. YMCA provide the residents with counselling, employment advice and promote their physical and emotional wellbeing, while also aiding them in managing debt. They also run youth clubs, offer support for ex-prisoners and host a community cafe.
