Story
I have watched a number of people in my life battle this terrible disease. Seeing them fight cancer whilst still having to figure out how to cope physically, emotionally and financially has been difficult for all of us who have done our best to support them.
Choosing to participate in Brave the Shave to raise money for Macmillan, an organization that provides support in all of these areas as well as so many more, was an easy one.
The last time I cut my hair was September 2020 shortly before moving to the UK permanently. As for my beard, the last time my face was properly seen was August 2018. After watching my boss raise so much money (£1200) for Brave the Shave last year I decided to take part this year - as you can imagine a haircut is long overdue!
I have been persuaded to shave the beard as well which took a lot more convincing. This is a big deal for me but for such a good cause it is worth it, so if we get £1200 I will shave my head and, with your help and generosity, at £2500 the beard will go too.
If you feel you can support me in helping raise this money for Macmillan anything you give will be very gratefully received.
Premium & Urban and Greene King are proud to have supported Macmillan since 2012 and have helped to raise over £10 million. We are fundraising so that Macmillan can help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can and continue to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
