Story
We recently received the awful news that Newquay Golf Club member and close family friend Keith Entwistle has been diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer.
In order to help raise awareness and fundraise for this great cause I will be challenging myself to play from dawn till dusk at Newquay Golf Club in 20th June 2021, aiming to play 100+ holes.
Please read Keith’s story below:
Hi my name is Keith Entwistle, I’ve been passionate about supporting prostate cancer for a few years now. Recently a close friend of mine was diagnosed, this prompted me to get checked, I had been struggling physically at work, but put it down to ‘old age’ and muscle strains. I was shocked to discover I have advanced prostate cancer which has spread to my bones. My family are doin the April run the month for PC. I am a keen golfer and have made many friends at Newquay golf club. Josh Hancock the assistant pro is organising a fund raising day on the 20th June , two days before my 65th birthday!
I want to raise awareness of the symptoms and the importance of getting checked and help save lives.
