I really wanted to act on promises I’ve made over the course of the past year to do something special for charity; specifically ‘Mind’.

Why ‘Mind’?

I’m not going to bore you with stats but one of the fundamental pieces of information I obtained was that every year 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem.

As a charity you think that the fundamental focus is to obtain donations to ensure people get the support they need. Whilst ‘Mind’ is no exception to this, what I love about their webpage is that the first thing you see is not a donation box but an option which states “talk to me”.

‘Mind’ currently have over 125 networks in the UK in addition to multiple sites across major cities in Australia. I hope any donations received will support their continued growth across Australia and the UK. 

Any donations received will be split evenly between the UK and Australian charities.

Manly to Bondi

I need to earn these donations so what better way than to complete the Manly to Bondi beach walk.

Sydney recently opened the Manly to Bondi beach which stretches to 80km. Covering beaches, incredible heights and the iconic Sydney Harbour bridge, this walk isn’t for the faint hearted. Although just about possible to complete in the day, I am planning to do it over the course of the last weekend in March (28-29th) covering 40km per day.
