Fundraising for Get Kids Going!
On 25 April 2010 I will be running the 26.2miles of the London Marathon.
Whilst participating in this, the greatest sporting challenge of my life, I have decided to raise money to help those that are less able to participate in sporting events. This is why I am supporting Get Kids Going, a national charity which gives disabled children and young people the opportunity to partake in sports where they would otherwise not get the chance.
Get Kids Going helps and encourages disabled children to compete by supporting them with their sports including training, physiotherapy, travel and provision of sports wheelchairs. They help promote sports for disabled children by providing them with specially built equipment so they can do marathons, triathlons, tennis, athletics, mountain skiing, rugby, basketball in the hope that some will become paralympics champions of London 2012. I appreciate all the support of my friends and family in helping me reach my fundraising target of £2,000 and I hope that some of you will be there to cheer me on the big day. There may also be a point where I will need a push! Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. Jo
