Story
I work full time as an Inspector for the RSPCA assisting in the rescue of all animals whether from neglect, cruelty or just themselves!
I have done this job for more than 14 years and every day is a constant challenge, with no two days the same. Animal neglect is an ever growing problem in society, particularly as monetary resourses are getting smaller for all. The RSPCA receives NO government funding and relies entirely on charitable donations from members of the public.
Since the start of the current recession, the RSPCA's financial resources have dropped to their lowest level in modern times and as an organisation it needs to look at new and innovate ways to keep itself operating.
As those of you who know me will have seen over the years - I do like a challenge (I have cycled passed Kiliminjaro on my last one!) and so, myself and fourteen other front line colleagues are taking up this new challenge and we plan to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for the cause that we all so passionately believe in. The trek will last for 6 days, involve no home comforts, be very cold and most certainly not be as pretty as the comic relief trip! (no showers either, so we will probably smell quite bad too!!!)
Please please please help me raise funds for this cause. I am not proud, I will take any donation you have to give - big or small. We really do need your help otherwise who will do this essential work? I have a personal target of £4,000.00 to raise. I realy feel I could go way beyond this, if I work my socks off and I will:)
