Story
The SilverLining Charity help me enormously. I feel understood by like-minded people who have all, like me, survived and live with a brain injury.
I am back doing the Mile a Day challenge for a second time. I participated in 2021 and loved it. It really pushed me physically and mentally but I did it and felt very proud.
This year things are different. I have some new challenges I am dealing with and my stamina isn't strong as it was 2 years ago. I am challenging myself to 'Move every day in May'. I aim to do at least a km a day, with a stretch target of achieving 31 miles by the end of the month, if I can. I will do my best and commit to doing something every day. It isn't easy at the moment, but that's the point of a challenge, right?
I would be really grateful if you'd support me in my challenge and raising money for the SilverLining Charity, whatever you can manage.
In 2021 my late mother-in-law, Maureen, and our elderly Labrador, Buster, were both huge supports to me. I am dedicating this 2023 challenge in their memories, both loved and lost in 2022.
Thank you,
Joe
