Story
My Dad was a vibrant, emotional, giving and generous man who lived and breathed music. You could usually find him dancing dripped in sweat at a gig, playing records in the living room or booming dub & reggae music from his car. He also had a love for food, always wanting to offer everything he could for his friends and family, cooking up the most delicious meals.
Growing up it was clear to see my Dad cared and shared empathy with children who came from lost homes, suffered from feelings of abandonment and also families who are split due to government corruption. The Refugee Council is a charity which helped my Dad and his 9 other siblings when they were deported from Uganda to Glasgow back in the 70s as young children whilst they were separated from their parents for 2 years.
He did so well to get past a lot of trauma he endured. He loved his two children so much, had a long marriage and worked relentlessly hard to put the food on the table for the family over the years. A sociable man, he was never afraid to talk to anyone and to be himself. He was always known as the life of the party, making people move, dance and laugh. This is how we will remember him
