A couple of weeks ago I met someone who I deemed to be somewhat of an inspiration. With his permission I am being allowed to share some of his story. This boy was born with half a heart and underwent his first operation an hour after being born. 13 Years later and he is now 14 years of age and has underwent a total of 15 operations and is leading a normal life.

After speaking with his family the work that and support that the Ronald McDonald House: Yorkhill provided was unparalleled and as an independent charity, having to raise £400, 000 to help ensure that this children’s hospital is ran with ease to help house over 600+ families since initially opening in 1996.

Therefore I have set myself a challenge in participating in 3 Marathons in the year of 2014 which will consist of:

1. Sunday April 6th - Great Manchester Marathon. 2. Sunday May 25th - Edinburgh Marathon. 3. Sunday September 28th - Loch Ness Marathon.

Myself, along with Yorkhill Children’s hospital, would be ever so grateful if you could help me raise my target and help contribute towards this more than worthwhile cause.
