Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my just-giving page.
When I heard there was an opportunity to trek up Mount Kilimanjaro for the charity Mind, I didn't think twice about getting involved, as mental health means a lot to me, and I wanted to be a part of the work that Mind does.
Every year one in four of us will experience a mental health problem, and there are still hundreds of thousands of people out there suffering without any help. Mind believes that no one should have to face a mental health problem alone, and I couldn't agree more. They listen to your situation, provide support and advice, and are always there to fight your corner.
Without the regular donations people provide to Mind, they wouldn't be able to operate. The money you donate will continue to provide Mind with the chance to help anyone suffering. It will contribute to them being able to answer calls through their helplines, provide information when people need it, keep their charity shops open, make services easier to access, and lots more.
Take a look at some of the excellent work Mind has already done, and this is just the start! - https://www.mind.org.uk/
I am completing this challenge to raise awareness for mental health because it is estimated that only 25% of suffering people receive the required help and advice they need. I know this statistic is shockingly low, and more needs to be done, so any donation made is primarily appreciated. Your contributions will continue to help people who are suffering find the help and respect they need.
