Hi Folks, 

I’ve signed up to do Malin2Mizen Cycle for CF as I want to raise awareness of this condition. I want to raise awareness of organisations like Cystic Fibrosis Ireland and how important they are to their members for support and lobbying for new treatments to become available to the CF community in Ireland. In October ‘18 our daughter was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. Although it was a shock, the support we received and the resources that were made available to us were amazing. Lily, our daughter has been lucky enough to be started on some of the new drug treatments. While these new drug therapies will hopefully be life changing they are not a cure. As research progresses we hope the range of drug therapies will continue to grow so those who are not currently eligible to start on one of these medicines will be able to do so in the future. 

So.. I’m cycling to raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis, I’m cycling for organisations like CF Ireland who provide really good information, resources and support for those living with Cystic Fibrosis. 

I’m cycling to support the lobbying for continued research and funding into this condition so hopefully one day a cure will be discovered and 

most importantly, I’m cycling for my beautiful daughter, Lily.
