Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page
My uncle Simon passed away last December having battled bravely against cancer, like so many others we may have known that are close to us. He randomly decided that he should cycle from John O Groats to Lands End, solo and unsupported...so that's exactly what i'm doing.
Although i'm not cycling through the UK, my journey covers an almost identical distance. I will be starting at Generator Hostel, Copenhagen on September 11th and heading towards Generator Hostel London, via Generator Hostel Hamburg and Amsterdam. My intention is to listen to some music, film the cycle on my Gopro camera and then wonder what the hell i'm doing when I get lost somewhere in Germany..but if you don't try you'll never succeed.
I will be visiting various cancer patients over the next couple of months to gain more perspective of the challenge and really understand the courage and bravery shown by many people suffering from this terrible disease. In the meantime, please feel free to help out in any way. Obviously, money donations are a major help, but it doesn't stop there. You can also offer support and help to anyone you know with the disease, both physically and mentally. Money helps with research, but it is up to us to offer our help as a friend, whether with a small task or a supportive ear to lend...you can make the difference!!
Generator hostel London, will be the final stop off for my adventure and you are welcome to come and support the cause and say hello on Saturday September 20th. A massive thanks to Generator hostels for there support and advice, 'Copenhagen Bikes' for the great bike they are giving me for the trip and Fitness DK for the training advice, use of gym and cycle gear.
With everyone's help, we can make a difference to those that need it the most...
See you at the finish line!!
