Royal Marines have one of the most physically and psychologically demanding jobs on the planet and findings show a lack of knowledge about mental health issues makes it more difficult to recognise a problem developing.

Story

Myself and fellow Royal Marine Jordan Riley are running the West Highland Way Unsupported, this means that the total distance covered of 96 miles/ 154.5km we will be on our own, carrying all essential/ safety equipment (food, water, tents, sleeping equipment ect) in order to complete the task over a 48hr period

Royal Marines Mental Health - Promote, Protect, Prevent, TreatRoyal Marines have one of the most physically and psychologically demanding jobs on the planet and findings show lack of knowledge about mental health issues makes it more difficult to recognise a problem developing. While many of these are quickly recognised and dealt with effectively, certain mental health issues can go undetected for a long while, and as time goes on, they can impact on relationships with families and friends.
