Story

As you know, Sunday 26th April is the day of the London Marathon and around the UK, charities are trying to stay afloat as events such
of these no longer take place providing the huge financial commitment it takes to enable charities to do their amazing work. This year I have been exceptionally proud to become a Headteacher Ambassador for the Youth Sport Trust. Sport has been a thread through my life; keeping me on track as a child after the death of my dad, helping me stay focused when I struggled at university, empowering me as a young adult as I found my place in the world, creating a bond between
me, my husband and our children, and keeping me strong when facing life’s difficult challenges. Above all….. it has created for me opportunities, friendships, fun, laughter and health.

This is why I am absolutely passionate that all children should have the
opportunity to feel the power of physical activity in their lives, and I know that our links with the Youth Sport Trust will enable us as at Theale Green School to open doors for everyone within our school, but our community as well. It is an incredible organisation entirely dedicated to the powerful impact that physical exercise can have on young people.
So this is what I’m doing……. I’m taking part in the www.twopointsixchallenge.co.uk to support the Youth Sport Trust, and I sincerely hope that I can persuade you to do something too. There is also incredible support building for this campaign including from UK government, Sport England, BBC, Institute of Fundraising, Virgin Money Giving and JustGiving and a whole host of businesses, celebrities and high profile individuals. However, what really counts, is the power of the individual to make a change. Captain Tom Moore has shown that to us all!

Starting yesterday I am doing 26 minutes every morning on my exercise bike. I have attached the evidence from yesterday to show you!
