Story
Thank you for taking
the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year I am
completing the Kintyre Way Ultra-marathon (35.5 Miles) which is a
scenic trail race across the rugged Kintyre Way from Tayinloan to
Campbeltown. I will also be running the Glencoe Marathon (26.2
miles). A tough trail marathon through Glencoe following the “West
Highland Way” to Ben Nevis, taking in challenges such as the
“Devil's Staircase” along the way!
I am using this page to raise money for the Beatson Cancer charity. So, what is this charity? Well...
"We exist to enhance the experience, treatment, outcomes and wellbeing of current and former cancer patients and their families or carers in the broadest possible sense. We achieve this by delivering non-clinical services and funding enhancements in cancer treatment, care and research at the Beatson."
I would like to fundraise in memory of both my Grandpa and my Granny who passed away from cancer. I would also like to run for my Dad, who's cancer has now thankfully gone into remission. He has nothing but admiration and praise for the support that he received from the Beatson during his, and his father's (Grandpa's), treatment.
I would like to use this opportunity to raise as much money as I possibly can for such an amazing charity that has helped, and will continue to help, my family and so many other people.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and don't forget to give me a wave if you see a bright yellow “Beatson” t-shirt running about Scotland (chief hot-spots are Argyll and Dundee).
