Story

I am doing this tandem parachute jump to remember my hero of a dad. He was an absolutely amazing dad to me and my brother and an amazing soldier.  Unfortunately, when I was 6 he passed away in Afghanistan on 27th June 2008. He has been my guardian angel ever since and he is my inspiration to get me through every day. So to remember him and to show how much I miss him, I will do this tandem parachute jump to represent the anniversary of 10 years and to allow me to see why this was his favourite thing to do, as he was in the parachute regiment for 12 years. He said it was the best experience ever so for me to experience what he loved on his 10 year anniversary will be a way to represent my love for him.

The money I will raise will go to Scotty's Little Soldiers to also show them how grateful I am for their support and experiences. They have provided presents at Christmas, birthdays and on them sad events such as the anniversaries. They have also provided amazing events for all the other families to meet each other such as Christmas parties etc. to show the fallen hero’s children that they are worth something and that they are not alone.

Thank you all so much xxxx

Dan was in the parachute regiment for 12 years before being downgraded due to tinnitus which he then had to chose to either leave the army or chose a new career in,, he moved to the army physical training core and was attached to 13AASR which was the unit he was with in Afghanistan when he died! ❤️
