Story
Flora is an energetic, outdoor-loving 3-year-old from East Lothian, Scotland. She loves playing at the beach, splashing in the sea, playing at the park, and building puzzles. She is a huge Peppa Pig fan and enjoys playing Peppa games on her tablet.
In January 2021, after several hospital appointments, Flora was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In the months that followed, Flora wasn't herself and her parents were given the devastating news that at just two years old she had high-risk neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer that has a 40-50% chance of long-term survival.
Her family are appealing for your help to raise £312,000 by August 2022 for Flora to enroll on the Bivalent Vaccine clinical trial in New York that aims to stop her neuroblastoma from coming back.
**UPDATE** Although they have now reached their target for Flora, there are still fundraisers and events planned like my own over the coming months, so the page will remain live for donations. Any additional money raised will go towards a contingency fund and upgrading Flora's airplane seats because Flora has autism and this will be her first time flying; her parents are hoping with extra space and privacy the journey will be much less stressful for her. Any money left over will be held in Flora's SKC account for 5 years should she need it for further treatment. After the 5 years the money will be donated to SKC to help fund research into Neuroblastoma and to help families like Flora's.
