Story
On 23rd April I am running the London Marathon 2023 representing the British Heart Foundation in memory of my old man, Mark Carr. In 2020 Dad died suddenly of a heart attack whilst out on the golf course. This came completely out of the blue after being given the all clear from heart specialists. Which is why I would like to raise money for such a fantastic charity whose research can really help identify and treat heart failure.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people still lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures.
I’m not a very experienced runner so this will be a huge challenge for me. I’d be really grateful for your support, however small, to spur me on to the finish line. Thank you!
