Challenge yourself to try something new, help us provide equipment to young people living with epilepsy to support independant living and help reduce the risk of SUDEP. Help us also improve the mental health and well being of bereaved siblings.

Story

We are supporting Jon Shaw Foundation (JSF) set up in memory of Jon who died aged 19 from SUDEP(Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy). There are over 600 deaths in the UK every year, that's approx 21 per week, 3 EVERY Day.

JSF aims to fund monitoring equipment and alarms which are not available through NHS and expensive to buy. Giving families some peace of mind and helping young people with Epilepsy towards independant living. The monitors are a really useful aid in seizure management which has been highlighted as one of the major risks of SUDEP.

Your donations and sponsorship will also help fund Forest school sessions and other group activities to support young bereaved siblings during the difficult times following the loss of a sibling.

Finally we want to promote awareness of SUDEP through our campaign, fundraising events, and talking to our MP and clinicians. Sadly few people have ever heard of it until it devastates a family

It is important for us to help as many young people and families in  Cheshire East and West Yorkshire as possible. With your help we can do it. Thank you for your support
