Story
Welcome to Jonny's version of the Edinburgh Airports Campus Staff Team Page for our 100 mile challenge!
We know that Covid-19 is having an impact on everyone and right now the issue of mental health has never been more important – that’s why we’re raising money for SAMH.
We’re inviting as many colleagues as possible from teams across the Edinburgh Airport campus to get their running shoes on to help us raise funds for our corporate charity.
The aim is for everyone to run 100 miles each over a 30-day period, with the goal of raising a grand total of £10,000 for Scotland’s mental health charity.
Join us and help make a difference to your own physical and mental health as well as many others that SAMH help every day.

Background & Inspiration
Edinburgh Airport is the working home of around 7,000 people and whether that’s ground handling, car hire, retail, parking, airline staff, airline servicing/fuelling, policing, ATC, cleaning, PRM, you work directly for the airport, or many many more, YOU are part of this community.
I’m very proud to be part of the Edinburgh Airport Community and I know many of you will feel the same way. I’m proud because it takes an extraordinary energy and collaboration from at least 50 companies and thousands of staff to deliver and execute our operation every day.
Despite the current situation our vision is to bring this great community together under this fundraising campaign for a really great cause and at a time when our own mental health and well being is more important than ever.
£10,000 is absolutely achievable with the people power of our Airport behind it!
Why should I get involved?
With the majority of us having some more time than normal on our hands we could have time to get out running, and given the current stresses and uncertainty, this is a great way to help your own metal health. At the same time you would be helping improve the mental health of Scotland by raising money to support the fine work of SAMH. (more details below).
Event Details:
- Run 100 miles anywhere with as few or as many sessions as you would like, with the aim of reaching 100 miles at the end of a 30 day period
- Due to social distancing measures and current restrictions you should run alone or with people within your household and make it part of your daily exercise
. While we managed to launch this event on a small scale on our runway, sadly no further runs are possible due to the numbers getting involved and current travel restrictions.
