Story
The Simon Bates Foundation was set up in memory of one of my best mates who tragically died last year. The Foundation is run by a board of trustees made up of his family and close friends with the aim to raise and distribute funds to both UK and overseas projects which help others to create brighter futures for themselves and their communities, and mirror Si's values in life and create a lasting legacy for him. Please have a look on the website; www.simonbatesfoundation.com
To help raise money for the foundation I have done various events this year, including;
29th March - Warrior Beach Assault - a 10km Assault Run
Sunday 13th July - Ponteland Sprint Triathlon involving a 400m swim, 20km bike ride and 5km run.
Sunday 7th September - Great North Run (half marathon).
The Triathlon has been organised with the foundation being the official sole beneficiary, and the aim is to raise £30,000 to be split between 2 great charities, Hoops4Health and Sport Newcastle.
I would really appreciate any donation you can spare to help me get both the foundations and myself to our targets, and help create this lasting legacy for a truly great bloke.
