Cycling for Charity Ride 2023:
This year we’re cycling to a different country!! 😉
S-W-S (Swadlincote to Wales to Swadlincote!)
We try to push ourselves further with each challenge we do, and this year is no different! This will see us on a 150mile round trip, an increase in the distance of last years challenge and, to date, the furthest any of us have travelled in one day on a bike! A 14+hr day (depending on how hard we train! 🤣)
We’ve thought long and hard as a team about what we could do this year for our annual charity ride. Majority of the team have got a lot going on in their lives outside of cycling in 2023 so we’re not able to squeeze in LEJOG this time round, unfortunately… 👀😅 (if you don’t know - google LEJOG) but we’re determined to keep the momentum going! We started this 2 years ago and we want to continue doing our bit in raising as much funds for our chosen charities for many more years to come.
Our chosen charity this year will be Burton & District Mind. We know how important mental health is and how it can affect people in so many different ways. We supported Mind last year and we want to continue to encourage people to speak up about their struggles. So, we've decided to continue supporting Mind but chose to keep it within the local community this time round.
We all agreed that we do something where we can end close to home so more of our friends and family can join in on the celebrations at the finish line. Finish line venue tbc but it will be local so it would be great to see as many faces there as possible, to see us over the line!
Once again we’ll be spamming up your social media timelines for the next 6 months in an attempt to raise as much money as we possibly can! Apologies in advance 😆
Please give all our posts a like and a share throughout this years campaign, it would mean a lot to us all 👊🏼❤️
