Story

Many of you who know me will be aware that Huntington’s Disease is close to my heart. I rarely run any charity events myself and I think it is about time I give back to the amazing Huntington Disease Association in order for them to continue with the awesome work they do. I am going to attempt to run 50 kilometres and cycle 50 miles in the space of one month and I would be extremely grateful if you would sponsor me. Donations big and small are most welcome and anything you give will spur me on to complete the goal that I will no doubt need considering the amount lockdown weight I have acquired over the last 18 months. About HD: Huntington's disease is a condition that stops parts of the brain working properly over time. It's passed on (inherited) from a person's parents. Huntington's disease is caused by a faulty gene that results in parts of the brain becoming gradually damaged over time. The symptoms usually start at 30 to 50 years of age, but can begin much earlier or later. It gets gradually worse over time and is usually fatal after a period of up to 20 years.
