Story
I did it! Completed the course in 4hrs, 13 minutes and 11 seconds! *lots* of pain in the last 8 miles or so, but all of you guys and the crowd really kept me going!
Thanks so much fo all your support - am truly humbled and overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone!
Many thanks
Jonathan

Many thanks for visiting my page. With previous running experience limited to dashing to catch the train home from school and attempting to avoid rain between my car and my flat, I've decided to run the New York Marathon on 1st November. A gruelling training programme is well underway!
I'll be running to raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind, who do an absolutely fantastic job helping blind people live full lives and giving them back their independence.
Having been to the Guide Dogs for the Blind centre in Israel when I was recently over there on holiday, I was so impressed by the amazing job that they do, and it was clear to see the incredible dedication and enthusiasm of their staff and volunteers. There are over 22,000 registered blind people in the country but only 300 guide dogs so they really need support! I'll be splitting any money raised between guide dogs in the UK and Israel.
Every penny raised will go straight to Guide Dogs and all donations will help enormously during the marathon to get me over the finishing line!
Many thanks in advance for your generosity.
Jonathan
