Story

I DID IT! I READ 52 BOOKS OVER THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS. Thank you very much to everyone who sponsored me. My most favourite book was the Emperor's Underwear by Laurence Anholt but I read lots of Astrosaurs books by Steve Cole, Captain Underpants books by Dav Pilkey, and all the Seriously Silly Story Collection by Laurence Anholt and Arthur Robins. I also got lots of books out from the library. If you want to see the list of books I read let me know. For those who haven't visited my webpage before, I did a Sponsored Book Read to raise money for HOPE International Development Agency (UK). The money will go to help provide clean water to villages in Southern Ethiopia. Daddy is going to Ethiopia in November to take part in the Great Ethiopian Run and see projects that Hope is involved in. As a family we want to raise £3000 for Hope and this was my idea to raise some money towards our target. You can see my Dad's page at www.justgiving.com/chazhickman. And if you haven't sponsored me yet... you still can! My fundraising page will be open until Daddy's trip to Ethiopia. Thank you. Jonathan

About the charity

HOPE International Development Agency is continuing our work in Bonke, a region in southern Ethiopia. When we first started our work there in 2009, only 14% of the 199,739 people had access to safe water. Now it is 48%. Our goal to bring this to 100% in the Bonke region by 2018.
