Liverpool Marathon 2011 · 9 October 2011 ·

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Signing up for the Liverpool Marathon back in January seemed like a great idea....it wasn't! Running the half marathon in March seemed like a good warm-up test....it definitely wasn't! Aimlessly running is not my idea of a good time....HOWEVER....there's millions of people out there who've got real hardships and so I've decided to 'man up' and take on those glorius 26 miles of scouse suburbia in aid of the NSPCC!

Training started last Thursday with a cheeky 5 mile saunt around Didsbury which had me seriously reconsidering this venture......an 8 miler followed on Monday, with a blister inducing 10 miler completed today and a half marathon proposed for Wednesday back in the Yorkshire Dales!

With only 3 and half weeks until D-day (9th October) I realise this is going to be a rough ride and so I'm hoping you'll all get behind me with a small donation and give me the incentive I need to make it happen!

The NSPCC is a great charity that provides help and support to kids whose childhoods are darker than many of us could even imagine...please help me to help them!

Thanks for reading and wish me luck!
