Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year sees the RAF Benevolent Fund celebrate their centenary. To mark this landmark occasion I aim to be the first person to run the North East 250 (NE250).
About the North East 250
It’s Scotland’s circular touring route and offers the perfect blend of landscapes for a fantastic road trip. The North East 250, which runs through Aberdeenshire and Moray Speyside, mixes countryside and coast, picturesque towns and villages and the UK’s largest National Park.
The route, a 250 mile-long circular trail which was launched in 2017, can be joined at three main points – Ballindalloch, Aberdeen Airport and Glenshee – and winds across Speyside, Royal Deeside, Aberdeen, Cairngorms, the east coast and the Moray Firth coast.
Why the Benevolent Fund?
The RAF Benevolent Fund is the RAF's leading welfare charity with a proud tradition of looking after its own. We are there for all serving and former members of the RAF as well as their partners and dependent children.
As a current serving member of the RAF, it means a lot to me to be raising funds for such a great charity.
Aim
To raise the profile of the RAF Benevolent Fund, awareness of the work they do, reach out to those that could benefit from the charity and raise as much funds as possible during my challenge.
I will aim to run the 250 mile undulating route in 6 days.
