Story
This year I'm doing the White Rose Treble to raise funds to help transform the Jessop Wing.
Last year I ran my first half marathon to raise funds for the birthing pools at the Jessop Wing and thanks to everybody who supported me. We raised nearly £500.
This year I have decided to up the challenge a bit by completing the White Rose Treble. This involves running the Sheffield Half Marathon on Sunday 14th April and then the Leeds Half Marathon on Sunday 12th May. I will then be ramping up the training to take on my first full marathon by running the York Marathon on Sunday 20th October. This is a total of 52.4 miles.
Please support me in my endeavour to raise much needed funds to support the incredible work that goes on in the Jessop Wing. Your donation will help to provide services over and above what our NHS can afford such as a Family Nurse to support parents of premature babies, the transformation of tired rooms into state of the art birthing pool suites, fully equipped accommodation so that families can stay close to their poorly babies and so much more. Later this year an appeal will be launched to refurbish the Bereavement Suite at the Jessop Wing - more information and updates to follow on this really important work which will help and support bereaved parents through a really tough time.
