As you will all undoubtedly know, I'm currently in training for the Reading Half Marathon 2012. My reasons for taking part in the event are many, and some of you will know one of those reasons is the friendly competition between myself and Lee Robb. Lee is a running machine, and I'm a keen runner also, and our quest for personal best's have driven us to taking part in the event.

Having said this, one of the key reasons for my participation is that I'm aiming to raise a significant amount of money for the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Charity. Without speaking at great lengths, they are the leaders in the field of blood cancer research and they use charity donations to help fund their ground-breaking research and support 30,000 people diagnosed with blood cancer in the Uk each year.

Not many of you will be aware that my Father was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocyctic Leukaemia (known as CLL) back in 2004. This close connection to blood cancers means I have a vested interest in raising for this charity, and hopefully with the money raised, we can help towards the charity's aim of beating blood cancers!!
