London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
Following on from our food support to isolated and vulnerable people during lockdown we wanted to create a holistic support project to not just give out, but to support people out of the difficult situations that they find themselves in as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic.
From our centres in Stratford and East Ham we are able to offer support to families and individuals of all ages.
Our Stratford Centre offers support to new parents who are in need of clothing and basic provision for children up to school age. Our East Ham Centre provides support around employment and finance management as well as digital inclusion and a low cost community food store.
As I run the virtual London Marathon around Newham I will be passing the homes of people we have supported and continue to support through these challenging and difficult times.
The funds raised will go toward basic hygiene products and nappies, items that are so essential for personal dignity and are unfortunately a luxury item for too many people.
