Story
I will be cycling from Land's End to John o'Groats (962 miles) over 9 days, and camping for most of the route. I will be doing this for Welcombe Hills School.
Welcombe Hills School is the only special school in the South Warwickshire area and welcomes children with a wide range of Special Educations Needs and Disabilities - moderate and severe learning difficulties and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Some of our children are in wheelchairs and some have limited mobility. Generous donors are key to helping us raise money for our projects. Our main project this academic year is to refurbish the Soft Play Sensory Room in the school. It is a favourite place for many of the students where they can safely climb, jump and experience what every child should - the joy of having fun! The room is currently in a tired state. The equipment is getting old having been used so much by our students and needs replacing with new and more robust furnishings to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the children for a long time to come. Your grant has made this refurbishment possible and we are extremely excited to get the project up and running this year.
