Story
On May 18th I'll be running the Royal Berkshire 10k in memory of Thomas Laurie who passed away on 19th February 2014 aged just 9 years old. I'll be following that up with the Oxford Half Marathon on October 12th.
Thomas was an incredibly brave and inspiring boy who suffered from Cockayne Syndrome which is a rare degenerative condition. Although Cockayne Syndrome presented Tom with many challenges, he lived his life to the full. He was a constant source of joy and pride to his family.
Helen and Douglas House provided wonderful care and support to both Thomas and his family during the last few years of his life. I'd be extremely grateful for any contributions which will help to allow this fabulous charity to continue to care and support children, young adults and their families in the future.
Thanks to you all
Jon
