Story
Recently it has become clearer to me than ever that mental health problems are all too common with 1 in 4 of us experiencing this per year in England.
Whilst watching the commonwealth marathon locally with the athlete from the Solomon Islands (holds a special place in my heart) coming through in the sun I became keen to funnel some of my energy and frustration into something positive. I've been in the ballot every year for last few years (unsuccessfully) but it feels particularly pertinent to have picked up a charity place running for such a wonderful important charity. Jess ran for them in February in the half I do most years in Northumberland and I am creating this post after a wonderful (much needed) day in the sun in Seahouses. I have been stepping up my (semi usual) training and with your support and backing I look forward to crossing the line hopefully having raised a good amount of money to support mind's important work. Finally whether you are able to give or not if you are in need please do speak to someone it is the first step in a better tomorrow.
All the best
