I am once again this year participating in the Walk for the J supporting the Mittleman Jewish Community Center (MJCC) on Sunday, April 24^th. As you may know, I have served on the MJCC board for several years now.  I believe the MJCC is a vital part of our community and am walking for it!

For more than 100 years, the Mittleman Jewish Community Center has been the “living room” of Portland’s Jewish Community. In a typical year, 12,000 people come through the doors of the MJCC, and nearly 4,000 individuals utilize our facilities as members. Membership, program fees and rentals account for approximately 86% of our annual revenue, and we are dependent upon donations, grants, and fundraisers to make up the difference.We are committed to ensuring that no one is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.
