Story
Many people are fighting an inner battle that unfortunately we cannot see or they may not be able to speak about. Over 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem in our life time.
I have created this page in memory of my big brother Leigh who passed away on the 1st March 2022 at the age of 60. Leigh was my best friend, my constant and my inspiration. I looked up to him. Every time we finished a call he would say;
"Love you brother"
As a family, we have chosen to raise money for MIND, a charity that helps those who struggle with their mental health. Leigh was always there for others but found it hard to accept help himself.
There is no stigma in mental health brother.
Many of you will have fond memories of his charming, charismatic and loving nature. Thank you to all of you who have been in touch with kind messages of condolence. We have been truly moved by your kindness.
Let’s dig deep and help others as he would.
Leigh Fanner, a true Englishman in New York.
