Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. 

I am challenging myself to visit all 104 Yorkshire Wildlife Trust Nature Reserves by bike this autumn. The journey will see me cycle around 1500 km. Starting on September 30th at my local reserve, Broadhead Clough in Mytholmroyd,  the journey is like a giant orienteering problem. 

The money I raise will support the vital work the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust does in conservation, education and in the promotion of the county's wildlife and wild places. I also want to highlight the diversity and richness of the landscapes I will travel through during my journey around Yorkshire.

I will regularly update supporters about my progress on the journey with photographs of the reserves and the landscapes I encounter.

As far as possible I will use National Cycle Network routes and stay in Youth Hostels. By doing this I hope to promote their important role in enabling access to the outdoor environment.

With our growing awareness of and concern for the fragile nature of our ecosystems I hope to highlight that by acting locally through organisations like the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust we can also have a global impact.
