Story

Strictly Come Dancing is one of the BBCs longest running and most popular TV programmes. Viewers are mesmerised by the sequins and enthralled by the progress of the celebrities that take part. Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation’s Strictly Ballroom is no different!Working with talented dancers and choreographers from Martins Dance School, our learner dancers receive 10 hours of private dance tuition and practice, practice, practice to perfect their routine. On Saturday 25th November 2023, our Strictly stars will take to the dance floor at The Adelphi Hotel, Liverpool to be in with a chance of being crowned King or Queen of the Ballroom and lift the coveted Glitterball Trophy! Now in our fifth year of partnering with Martins Dance School, the event has raised an impressive £150,000, and with your support of our Strictly Ballroom stars, we hope to raise much more! A huge thank you for your generosity, which allows us to support everyone affected by lung cancer.

As the last person to arrive on the dance floor, due to having 2 left feet, I feel it’s time to step out of my comfort zone and try not to embarrass myself to much at the next party I get an invite to and what a wonderful cause to embarrass yourself for.
