Story
We all know someone who has been touched by Cancer. A family member or a friend. The emotional devastation that follows those initial words "I'm sorry to inform you, you have cancer". There is nothing most of us can do at that time other than find our way, dealing with the situation presented to us and supporting those diagnosed and those around them as best we can. But WHAT IF! What if we could change the likelihood of someone getting cancer and the quality of their treatment and survival rate should that time come.
For those in the industry in which I work, my family and friends, the Name John Shine (my father) will need no further commentary
For those that didn't know him, suffice to say he was the person most of us aspire to be
I have my reasons for climbing a mountain and helping Cancer Research Wales. You may not have to climb the mountain, but can you help also?
Every 30 minutes someone is diagnosed with cancer and every week 171 families lose a loved one to cancer in Wales alone
