Story

Foolishly I have decided to take part in a sponsored bike ride from Glasgow to London to raise money for Ovarian Cancer Research. Don't laugh.

It's a small group of men who've all been affected by this kind of cancer in some way, even though we haven't got ovaries. As you know, I'm no super fit type, but I'm going to do this because a) my partner has it b) Ovarian cancer doesn't get enough research c) mid life crisis d) I look amazing in lycra. It's 500 miles over 5 days in late starting June 29th. Longest day is 118miles.

I'd be grateful if you'd contribute some money toward the total. Small amounts good, chunky ones even better because the minimum I need to raise is £1750 which is quite a lot. So I may be bothering you all again with annoying nagging messages. I've put in £300 to get the ball rolling. Every contribution greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone. You can laugh now.

We are the UK’s leading ovarian cancer research charity. In the UK only 1 in 3 women live more than 10 years after diagnosis. We are working to better prevent, treat and detect ovarian cancer, so that by 2032 at least half of women with ovarian cancer live for 10 years.
