Tough Guy 2011… DONE! But the challenge isn’t over…
It was as ridiculous, as tough and as FREEZING as expected, but honours evens and it’s now ticked off on life’s list of things to do.
For a reminder of the pain team Tough Lobster had to endure and to see that I actually made it, in a respectable 2hrs 9mins, or 612th out of a starting field of 4,000 nutters, feel free to visit: http://www.toughguy.co.uk/
So next, The Gauntlet: http://www.muckyraces.co.uk/
Taking place on Sunday 3rd April, over 12km of what can best be described as difficult terrain, The Gauntlet is “the toughest, muddiest, wettest off-road running events in the South East. We run where others fear to tread!”
Whilst I was delighted and hugely grateful for the generosity of all involved with Tough Guy, I have fallen slightly short of my intended fundraising target for Paul’s Cancer Support Centre.
As such any and all contributions are still very welcome to help this worthy cause.
Paul’s perform sterling work as a support group to help people with cancer and their families. The centre focuses on relieving stress and social isolation during and after medical treatment, and helping people to develop resilience in the face of change and uncertainty. The centre receives no government funding and continues to rely entirely on donations and fundraising events to keep the services going.
Once again, this is no sponsored sit down, so please dig deep. I really appreciate all your donations!
Many thanks, Jon
