Story

Thanks for visiting Jonathan Stoddart and James Redpath’s fundraising page.

We have decided, unwisely some might say to push ourselves to the limit this summer and have entered "The Wall" ultra marathon in June, the UK’s biggest ultra run.

The event is a 69 mile mixed terrain run from Carlisle Castle to the Gateshead Millennium Bridge along Hadrian’s wall. We will be aiming to conquer the 69 miles in one day and in one continuous journey.

To put this into context this is over 2.5 regular marathons or 5 Great North runs.

We have decided to run for The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, which is finding more effective ways to detect & treat cancer. The Foundation funds projects that directly benefit cancer patients from across North East England and Cumbria – and which also contribute significantly to international research into the disease.

Any small donations would be much appreciated and will help keep us motivated whilst we train hard for this huge challenge.

Details of the event can be found here:

Many thanks,

Jonathan & James
