Story
Dear friends
On Sunday 10th March we’ll be donning our running gear to take part in the Vitality Big Half Marathon!
The race is a newcomer to the UK’s running scene, having only launched last year, but it’s proved a very popular event (last year’s ‘Big Half’ was won by Sir Mo Farah) and has helped to encourage more people to get into running.
More importantly, though, we’re taking part in the 13.1-mile race to raise money and awareness for the Gauchers Association. The charity supports sufferers of Gaucher disease, a genetic disorder that affects 6,000 people around the world.
The charity is one close to Masthaven’s heart – CEO Andrew Bloom is a director and treasurer of the Gauchers Association and we have done a number of fundraising events for them in the past, including when Andrew and myself dressed up as the 118 characters for the Great North Run, raising more than £9,000 in the process!
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Jon & Emma
