Story
I'll be joining Restart on their fifth Alpine Challenge to raise vital funds for professional rugby players that rely on Restart's support. We'll be heading to the Gran Paradiso National Park in Italy for a 3-day expedition with Restart trustee and former player Ed Jackson. The challenge will culminate on the final day, as we prepare to summit Mont Taou Blanc standing at 3,438 meters... more than double the height of Ben Nevis! Restart supports professional rugby players suffering from serious illness, injury or hardship. The charity is there to provide players and their families with financial, practical and emotional support during difficult times, including help with medical treatment, rehabilitation and counselling. Players like Ed Jackson who was forced to retire from his professional rugby career in 2017 due to a life-changing spinal injury, rely on Restart to be there during difficult times.
