On the 20th April, with a few other guys from work, come rain or shine I am sleeping out overnight in a cardboard box to get a feel and to raise awareness of the homeless issues that lots of people, young and old face.

The Charity "Simon On The Streets" provides emotional and practical support for people with complex needs who cannot or will not access other services. Within that group it focuses on people who are homeless and rootless, especially those with issues related to rough sleeping

On the night, we are going for a walk around some of the well known rough sleeping haunts in Leeds to meet some of the people out there...

We are then going to be shown how best to build your "bed" before retiring back to our box "homes" on O2 grounds for the night (we are unable to do this outside of o2 grounds as rough sleeping is illegal)

I think this will be a real eye opener and its an experince that I am really looking forward to
