Story
I'm on a plea....
To get you to join me,
In paying a tribute...
To Her Majesty.
Walk, run, cycle or ski,
To celebrate her Platinum Jubilee
.....or even just donate the price of a nice British cup of tea!
Having served as an officer in the Royal Army Medical Corps for almost 22 years, I was extremely proud to hold Her Majesty the Queen's Commission.
Therefore, starting on March 25th, I will be either walking, running, cycling or skiing 7km a day for the next 70 days, until Coronation Day on June 2nd, as a tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The challenge will aim to shine a light on each year of her reign and the remarkable woman that she is as Head of the Commonwealth.
This is however, more of a collective endeavour with the hope that many others will join in and complete their own 7km human powered journey, on one of the 70 days in the lead up to the celebration of her Platinum Jubilee.
Simply make a donation of £7 and complete your journey and tag me in your social media post with the hashtag #7k470days
I will not be putting up a specific location of where I am each day as I will be continuing to live my life as 'normal'. Most are therefore likely to be around the Salisbury area.
If you did want to join me in person, please get in contact and let's see what we can arrange.
Walking with the Wounded is a fantastic charity which extremely generously funded several sessions of therapy for my mental health challenges, both while serving in the military and also upon medical retirement.
It is therefore a charity very close to my heart to who I own a huge amount of gratitude.
